Patcay.com – Apple has long used Touch ID as the primary biometric recognition feature on the iPhone. However, in recent years, Apple has shifted its focus to Face ID, a more advanced and secure facial recognition feature.
A recent report from Bloomberg suggests that Apple will completely abandon Touch ID in the iPhone SE 4 and iPhone 16 Series. Both iPhone models will use Face ID as the only biometric recognition method.
Apple’s decision to abandon Touch ID is not surprising. Face ID has been a very popular feature among iPhone users, and Apple has significantly improved its accuracy in recent years.

Face ID can now recognize a user’s face in a variety of conditions, including in dark conditions or when the user is wearing a mask.
In addition, abandoning Touch ID will allow Apple to simplify the design of the iPhone. Touch ID requires a physical home button, which takes up space on the front of the iPhone. By using Face ID, Apple can design iPhones with larger screens and thinner bezels.
Current iPhone SE 3 users still use Touch ID to authenticate themselves. However, if Bloomberg’s report is accurate, iPhone SE 4 users will have to start getting used to Face ID.

It should be noted that Bloomberg’s report has not been officially confirmed by Apple. However, Apple has a good history of keeping its products confidential, so it is likely that the report is accurate.
If Apple is really going to abandon Touch ID, this will be a big change for the company. Touch ID has been a very popular feature on the iPhone, and many users have gotten used to using it. However, Apple believes that Face ID is a superior feature, and the decision to abandon Touch ID will likely pay off in the long run.
