Patcay.com – Google has just expanded access to Gemini within Google Workspace. Users can now directly access this generative AI in Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, and other Workspace services.
In a blog post from Google Workspace, the company announced that Gemini is now available in Google work applications such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive.
Gemini will appear in the side panel, making it easier for users to access without needing to open a separate website.
This feature can be accessed by clicking the “Ask Gemini” button at the top right corner of the Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive logos. Google is using its latest AI model, Gemini 1.5 Pro, which offers advanced intelligence and premium features.
“Through the side panel, Gemini can help you summarize, analyze, and generate content by leveraging insights gathered from emails, documents, and more—all without switching applications or tabs,” the company wrote.
The updated interface automatically summarizes the content you are working on and provides contextually relevant prompts to help you get started. Google stated that this new AI-powered update will help users become more productive and introduce Gemini to millions of users worldwide.
However, it should be noted that the Gemini AI feature is only available to paid Google Workspace users.
