patcay.com – Windows users worldwide were shocked by a massive Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) attack, causing their laptops and PCs to suddenly shut down or restart unexpectedly.
This issue, affecting millions of devices, has led to confusion and concern among users, as well as speculation about its cause. CrowdStrike, a Texas-based cybersecurity service provider, has been mentioned as a possible factor involved in this incident.
CrowdStrike is widely known as a security platform used to protect devices and servers globally. However, the platform is currently facing allegations of involvement in this widespread BSOD incident.
“Internet users are reporting strange occurrences on their Windows machines: BSOD suddenly appearing on their screens. Has anyone else experienced this?” asked a user on X (formerly Twitter).
Some users also reported that flight information screens at airports displayed the characteristic blue screen indicating a BSOD.
In response, Microsoft stated that they have taken “mitigation steps” to address the issue. “Our services are undergoing continuous improvement as we continue to address this issue,” Microsoft wrote on X.
“While we are focused on addressing this issue with high priority, we continue to work hard to repair the impact affecting Microsoft 365 applications that are currently experiencing a decline in quality,” Microsoft’s statement added.
