Patcay.com – For a while, we’ve been keeping an eye on the gradual emergence of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship models from the Xiaomi 14 series on various certification websites. However, nothing official had come from Xiaomi’s end until now. The much-anticipated news is that Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship series has finally been officially unveiled.
This morning, Xiaomi took to Weibo to make the official announcement that the brand-new Xiaomi 14 series will be unveiled on October 26th at 7 PM (Chinese Time). That’s not all; the company has also dropped some exciting news about their forthcoming HyperOS and a new partnership with Leica lenses.
According to the announcement, Xiaomi’s HyperOS is slated to make its debut during this event, and for the first time, Xiaomi’s devices will gradually transition away from MIUI to a fresh operating system. It’s not limited to just smartphones; this OS is expected to extend to Xiaomi’s electric vehicles (EVs) as well.

Additionally, Xiaomi has revealed a collaboration with Leica lenses, working on a “new generation optical system solution” in conjunction with a cutting-edge high-dynamic image sensor designed for mobile optics.
In the announcement poster, we catch a glimpse of the Xiaomi 14. It appears to feature a flat-edge frame, much like its predecessor.
A noteworthy point is that both the Standard and Pro models in the Xiaomi 14 series will be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3. The official launch of this chipset is expected at the Qualcomm Summit 2023, just a mere 1-2 days away.
Regarding the chipset’s specifications, it adopts a unique 1+5+2 architecture layout, comprising 1x Cortex-X4 Ultra-Core clocked at 3.3GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 P-Cores with a higher clock frequency at 3.15GHz, 2x Cortex-A720 P-Cores with a slightly lower clock frequency at 2.96GHz, and 2x Cortex-A520 E-Cores clocked at 2.27GHz.
