Patcay.com – Lenovo has launched a series of AI-powered products in the Asia Pacific region. This move signifies their strategy to enhance market share in countries with significant potential.
Leon Yu, Consumer Business Lead for Lenovo Asia Pacific, revealed that the company has several strategies to compete with similar products. However, he emphasized that competition is not solely about price but also about the added value provided by the products.
“Currently, I believe users will decide their steps based on the added value we provide to the products, not just their selling price,” said Leon Yu in an Executive Interview at Lenovo Innovate ’24, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday (March 28, 2024).

He mentioned at least three core points that constitute Lenovo’s strategy in dominating the technology market. Firstly, it involves technological transformation in every product.
This means they focus on delivering a broader and more comprehensive user experience than merely providing hardware.
Secondly, it involves speed in bringing innovation to the products. For instance, in Lenovo laptop series like Legion, Yoga, and LOQ, all are equipped with artificial intelligence.

“We are not only bringing hardware transformation but also providing the software. However, you can also see similar features from other companies developing their own software. Therefore, these features are crucial for us,” explained Leon Yu.
For example, AI Engine technology is embedded in various latest Lenovo products. There are also features like Pure Sight, which indulges digital content creators with a combination of realistic colors.
The third point highlighted by Leon Yu is the sustainability aspect of their products. This aligns with the current global trend of reducing carbon footprints.
“The last one is sustainability improvement. As you can see from today’s Yoga presentation, we use many recyclable materials and its packaging is fully recyclable,” he clarified.
“We aim to contribute to environmental preservation efforts by making our products more eco-friendly and sustainable,” added Leon Yu.
