Patcay.com – OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, has thrown shade at the emergence of the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot Grok, released on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter).
This was revealed in a post shared by the man who recently visited Indonesia on his X account @sama. There, he shared a screenshot from the latest version of ChatGPT that caught attention.
In this latest version, users are given the ability to create their own version of ChatGPT, called GPTs.

In the screenshot shared by Sam Altman, he shows that ChatGPT Builder offers assistance in creating a new GPT based on user requests.
“Be a chatbot that answers questions with boomer humor in an awkward and laugh-inducing way,” Altman instructed. “Alright, the chatbot is set up! Its name is Grok. How do you like the name, or do you prefer another name?” replied GPT Builder.
Then, next to it, the Grok chatbot is seen in action, with the slogan: “I will tell your dad’s dad jokes.”

Although it’s unclear whether the image is edited or genuinely from GPT Builder, it seems like the CEO of OpenAI is indeed taking a jab at Elon Musk’s AI pride.
“GPTs can save a lot of energy,” wrote the CEO of OpenAI in the post.
Previously, Grok was announced directly by Elon Musk through his official account. Through @elonmusk, Musk stated that Grok would be available to X Premium Plus customers after entering the early beta stage.

“As soon as it enters early beta, the Grok system from xAI will be available to all X Premium+ customers,” said Elon Musk through the account.
Different from AI chatbots like Bard or ChatGPT, Elon Musk mentioned that Grok has the ability to deliver sarcastic humor.
“The xAI Grok system is designed to have a bit of humor in its responses,” Elon Musk revealed about the latest AI feature on the X platform.

Furthermore, Elon Musk also stated that Grok has real-time access to information on the X platform, which he claims is an advantage over other models.
“Grok has real-time access to information through the X platform, which is a big advantage compared to other models,” said Elon Musk.
“He also relies on & likes sarcasm. I don’t know who can guide him like this 🤷♂️ 🤣” he added.
Grok is developed by xAI, a startup in the field of artificial intelligence recently launched by Elon Musk.
