Patcay.com – WhatsApp made a new breakthrough for WhatsApp Channel on Wednesday (17/1/2024). Channel owners now have more options to interact with their followers on the channel.
One of the newly announced features is the update to voice messages on WhatsApp Channel. Users can now listen to voice messages sent by the channels they follow. Puerto Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny have tested this feature by trying out the update on his own channel.
Another added feature is the polling feature that channel owners can share with their followers. Netflix and National Geographic are the first two channels to take advantage of this feature.

Along with that, a Channel can now have up to 16 admins to help manage updates. For followers, WhatsApp users can share updates from a Channel to their status. This can be done by long-pressing the channel update, then selecting “Forward” and “My Status” on the post to be shared.
In a written statement, WhatsApp announced that the latest features for Channels have started to roll out. In November 2023, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that monthly active users on WhatsApp Channel had reached 500 million users in the first seven weeks after its launch.
“500 million active users on WhatsApp Channel in the first 7 weeks. Happy to see the WhatsApp community so engaged,” Mark Zuckerberg said through his official Channel on Thursday (16/11/2023).
