Patcay.com – Activision is currently investigating a malware attack that successfully stole login data from users of their games. According to reports from TechCrunch, the perpetrators are suspected to have used computer viruses to obtain login data and even cryptocurrency wallets from users.
While Activision denies assisting in the removal of malware from their platform, some sources state that the company has provided assistance to victims of the attack in reclaiming their accounts.
Regarding the dissemination of the malware itself, the method of spread remains unknown and is under investigation. A spokesperson from Activision asserts that this issue is related to vulnerabilities in third-party software vendors’ systems, not Activision’s software or platform.

According to Delaney Simmons, an Activision spokesperson, the company is aware that some player credentials may have been compromised by malware due to the use of unauthorized software.
The security of the company’s servers remains intact and unaffected by malware attacks. However, Zeebler, who reported this case to TechCrunch, found that one of their customer’s accounts had been compromised due to the use of unauthorized software.
The malware was disguised as genuine software but was designed to steal the usernames and passwords entered by victims.
