Patcay.com – Dell recently revealed that it has fallen victim to a hacking attack, in which the data of up to 49 million of its users has been compromised and sold by the hackers.
In response to the situation, Dell has begun sending data breach notifications to all its customers via email.
The company disclosed that the hackers successfully breached Dell’s portal and stole customer information, including purchase histories and other data.

“In the course of investigating the incident involving the Dell portal, which contains a database related to customers who made purchases from Dell,” reads the company’s official statement.
However, Dell asserts that customers face no significant risks due to the type of information affected,” said Dell.
The company mentioned that cybercriminals managed to access and steal a database containing names, addresses, and details of Dell device orders—including service codes, product descriptions, order dates, and warranty information.
