Patcay.com – Meta is rolling out a new concept to enhance the fun in the Threads application by leveraging Instagram. In this latest experiment, Meta is currently testing a feature for cross-posting photos directly from Instagram to Threads.
On Thursday (9/5/2024), Meta officially confirmed this information after several Threads users reported the appearance of this feature on Instagram. According to Meta’s official statement, the cross-posting feature from Instagram to Threads is optional.
It is known that users are also given the flexibility to choose whether they want all their new photo uploads to be automatically shared to their Threads account. Cross-posting settings can be adjusted directly through the Instagram application.

Not only that, Meta has also conducted several other experiments to stimulate Threads’ growth. Nevertheless, Meta’s service already accommodates 150 million users.
Previously, Meta has also experimented with cross-posting features from Facebook to Threads. Users are also given the option to promote Thread uploads directly to Facebook and Instagram feeds.
Furthermore, Meta also provides various incentives to content creators to be more active contributors on Threads. They even promise bonuses to content creators for uploads that attract significant interactions.

However, on the other hand, Threads gives users greater control over who can quote their posts. Users can now choose who is authorized to quote their posts, such as reposting with comments.
Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, announced this update last weekend. He hopes this update will help make Threads a more positive environment for its users.
This feature was previously tested among a group of users in April 2024 and is now rolled out to all Threads users.
Threads, which currently has over 150 million monthly users, continues to gradually add more features to enhance overall user security and experience, borrowing some tools from Instagram.
Last month, they introduced the Hidden Words feature, allowing users to filter specific terms from their feeds.
The Threads application has also recently begun testing options to archive posts, either manually or automatically after a specified expiration date.
